What is Newdog?
What began 30+ years ago as an idea to work with Calgary companies to create interesting and fun promtional products has over the years grown into a high quality professional garment silkscreen printing company.
It turns out we really like creating fun desing layouts on T shirts and hoodies for customers across Canada. Using our many years experience of messing around with inks and screens we have been able to develop our printing skills to the point where no project is too much for us.
Great silkscreen prints start with great designs and colors. And with these you need to have a design team that can size and work with your designs that gives the finished prints the best look we cna get.
Our History
When we started newdog there were no computer design programs available – it was all done by hand.
And by luck we hired a graphic artist who loved Adobe products and Aple computers – and the days of doing artwork by hand were over.
And printing equipment was mostly manual presses – alot of work and skill required. But then came the auto presses and a whole new set of skills was required and witht a little more luck we found and hired a person with much experience with these presses and so we built our silkscreen business.
Where Were Going
One of the great things of true silkscreen printing is it can only be automated so far. Computers and AI will only be able to do so much. People who love to print and understand the flexibility and limits of garments and inks will always be needed to produce great silkscreened garments. And we plan to keep on getting better at this simple art for as long as we can. See you n another 30+ years.
